PROPERTIES: strengthening, antiseptic, intestinal gas expelling, blood circulation, appetite stimulating, cough, cramp eliminating, digestive, urine floating, mucus dissolving, wound healing, worm expelling.


Thyme has a protective and soothing effect on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and thus offers support to your horse when he could use an extra helping hand during, for example, a cold, lowered resistance or hypersensitivity.

The mucus removing and antiseptic properties, make Thyme ideal for coughs, catarrh and chest infections.
Also for kidney/liver, digestive and colic problems, Thyme is recommended to be added to the feed in small amounts daily.
Thyme can also be used for an inflamed uterus and to help remove retained afterbirth.


Thyme as a supplement for horses

Thyme is a strongly fragrant herb from the lipflower family. It is a commonly used herb in cooking, but it also has beneficial properties and can therefore be used well as a natural supplement for horses. Among other things, thyme is rich in the essential oil thymol. Thymol has strong antibacterial properties and is therefore great for supporting the throat and respiratory tract when needed. In addition, thyme has a promoting and supporting effect on a horse's digestion and contributes to a good resistance.

Jacob Hooy Thyme is an ideal herb to support your horse in a natural way. Could your horse use some extra respiratory support? Thyme has a protective and soothing effect on the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and thus offers support to your horse when he can use an extra helping hand during, for example, a cold, lowered resistance or hypersensitivity. Moreover, it is a suitable herb for horses that can use some extra support in digestion. The herb has a positive effect on appetite and bowel movements and also has a soothing effect on your horse's stomach and intestines.


DOSAGE: measuring spoon ± 10gr.
Horse or pony up to 350kg: 7,5 grams per day.
Horse over 350kg: 15 grams per day.

CAUTION: Thymol - the volatile oil in Thyme - is toxic in very large quantities,
Stick to the dosage.
DO NOT FEED THYME TO PREGNANT MARES.
