Rosemary as a supplement for horses

Rosemary is a fragrant small shrub that we mostly know through the herb's use in Mediterranean cuisine. But did you know that rosemary also has beneficial properties? Especially the pointed small leaves of the herb are useful. Rosemary naturally contains powerful antioxidants, thus supporting your horse's liver, kidneys and entire digestive system. In addition, rosemary has a positive effect on circulation.

When to give rosemary to horses?

Rosemary is a versatile herb that horses generally find very tasty and is also multi-purpose. It can therefore be used to support the health of your horse in different ways. For example, the herb has a calming effect on the stomach which makes it very suitable when you want to provide some extra support to your horse's digestion. In addition, rosemary has a stimulating effect on blood circulation. Is your horse (temporarily) getting less exercise, for example due to an injury, box rest or the transition from pasture to stable in the fall? Reduced exercise has a negative impact on your horse's circulation. To support your horse during these periods, you can give a supplement that stimulates circulation. Also, when a horse is intensively trained, he may benefit from an herb that stimulates circulation to promote recovery.
