Lactulose belongs to the group of so-called osmotic laxatives (for a better intestinal passage). In the large intestine, lactulose is converted into specific substances that stimulate and regulate natural bowel function, resulting in the formation of natural stools. It may take several days for the desired effect to occur.
USE AND DOSAGE:
Laxulon is safe to use according to the recommended dosage and can be mixed with food or drinking water, or directly in the mouth.
Dosage to promote intestinal transit: 3 ml. per 5 kg. body weight 1 time per day.
Dosage to support against bacterial intestinal infections: 3 ml. per 5 kg. body weight 3 times a day.
Always consult your vet if symptoms worsen or do not improve.
